Good news! The Edwards Race Team has decided to race in the Premier Division as well as Super Stocks. The new car fits the class, so we figured what the heck, more racing and more exposure for our sponsors. Our sponsors deserve the added races as they have been so supportive.
The new #9 is almost ready to go! We have a few more fabrication changes to do so that the car is more safe and better fitting for Bob. By the way, he is on the chicken diet so that he can fit in the seat better! See you guys at the track on April 12 for the first race!

We're just touching base to let everyone know that we are anxiously waiting for the first practice. The car should be painted by this weekend, and we are so ready to go! Thanks goes out to everyone for all their help with the car. If anyone would like to see the first practice, it is Saturday April 5th. See you at the track!!!

Well, the first practice was a bit rainy and slick, but we went anyway and got to drive the car around the track for awhile. We couldn't get up to speed, but we got the rearend broke in properly and found an oil leak as well as the motor is running a bit hot. We will fix these things in the shop and be out there Thursday for practice to dial in the suspension a bit closer. The weather is supposed to be very nice this weekend. We look forward to seeing everyone at the track Saturday!!!!
By the way, the car seems to handle extremely well and should be fast!!!

The first race with the Premier Division went pretty well. We had a few problems with the car, but we learned a lot about setup from John Dumire. Thanks again John! The most important thing to know was that the car can run with the Late Models and Modifieds. We had some heating issues, but should have them under control by the next race. Look forward to seeing the black and pink #9 at the front of the field!

The first race in the Super Stocks went very well. After having some handling issues in the heat race and trophy dash, we got it under control for the main. The car was by no means perfect, but we finished 3rd overall. Due to a rule violation, the race winner was disqualified and so we finished with 2nd place money and points. Expect to see the #9 get better and better and expect some winning races to happen in the very near future. See everyone in 2 weeks for the first double duty race of the season!

2nd place in the Super Stock heat, 1st in the trophy dash!!!! and 6th in the main due to a broken power steering pump during the main warm-up. Congratulations to Doug Risley on the heat race and main event wins.
Premier Division-spun out in heat race and finished 7th in the main.

The Edwards Race Team had a pretty impressive outing this weekend! We finished 4th in the first main and 7th in the second main! The impressive part about these finishes is that we were giving up about 50 c.u. and 200 horsepower to these other cars! We still competed well and had a great time other than the extreme heat that day.
Next week we have off and then have a 75 lap main the following week. We hope to see you there!!!
Please bring the kids to the pits as we and several others hang around to autograph and hand out pictures of our cars. The Edwards Race Team also hands out toys for the kids!

We finished 10th against some of the best latemodels in the Northwest! 75 laps was awesome! We were definitely outmotored, but we sure had a good time and finished respectively. Next week we're back to our regular Super Stock and Premier Division racing at DCS. We look forward to seeing you all there!

We finished 7th in the Premier Division and 2nd in the Super Stocks. We are finally getting the car to hook up. We are currently the point leader in the Super Stocks and 6th in the Premier Division!!!!!!!!!

We had a very BIG night!!! We set fast time, won the trophy dash/heat race and won the main event! We increased our points lead in the Super Stocks and held our own in the Premier Division.

The Edwards Race Team took a step backward this week in preparing for the race. We know that we are on the right track, we just didn't quite get there. We finished 5th in the Super Stock/LLMRS challenge race and 9th in the Premier Division. We have some work to do this week as we race on Friday and the car has some issues. Expect to see us somewhere in the middle of the field as we only race Premier Division this week.

The Edwards Race Team had a bit of a rough night. We were rearended in the beginning of the main event and was black flagged for a dragging rear bumper bar. We repaired it and returned to racing, but had an engine overheating problem and was unable to finish the race. However, the Nascar race was one of the best races we have seen in a long time!

The Edwards Race Team is back!!! We set fast time, won the heat race, and the main event! We are turning faster lap times every time we get on the track. Our next race is the Fair Race on August 9. We look forward to seeing you all there.

The Edwards Race Team had a disappointing day. We started in the back, and had a car spin out in front of us a few laps in. Unfortunately, the driver did not stay put and drove into us. We tore the car up pretty good, but was able to race a few more laps before pulling in due to mechanical reasons. We had moved up to 3rd and was catching the front 2 cars prior to pulling off. I guess we can't win them all, but I promise you we will try!

We raced Premier Division only today. The car was pretty darned fast and we were able to stay on the lead lap against some of the fastest cars in the Northwest! The finish was 8th and we are very excited about it! Paulisa broke her leg and dislocated her ankle before qualifying and will have surgery 8/25 and be off work for at least 3 months after the surgery. We wish her a speedy recovery.

Super Stock-We were third fast time, got 2nd in the heat race and won the main! We are the 2008 season points champions!!!!!
Premier Division-We finished 10th in the first main and broke the car during warm-up for the 2nd main. Unfortunately, we will be unable to race the final event as we do not have the funds or the time to make the repairs at this time. We are the 8th place team in points for the 2008 season!!! See you next year!!!!!
